Provisional sentencing for children
In September 2009, as part of an ongoing collaboration with members of the private bar, we published a monograph by Sophia Beckett, Lester Fernandez and Katherine McFarlane - Provisional Sentencing for Children (PDF, 197.3 KB)
It was published pursuant to s 100J(1)(e) of the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act 1999 (NSW) to provide a more detailed study of an issue identified in our Annual Report of 2005–2006.
Recommendations in this monograph were adopted by the Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Amendment (Provisional Sentencing for Children) Act 2013 (NSW).
